There are several beautiful women to whom Michele-lee would like to pay homeage. They are her muses -- creatures of divine inspiration who delight this artist with their magickal ways. They are women, who generously provide artists like Michele-lee with reference images on which she bases her traditional artworks upon. The women below have appeared in two or more of Michele-lee's artworks, continue to tease and tempt her muse and will no doubt appear in many more artworks over the months and years to come.
Elandria, or Lanny, is a dear friend of Michele-lee's and is the main source of inspiration for many of the artist's paintings. This stunningly beautiful woman is by trade a freelance graphic designer and seamstress, who torments and teases Michele-lee endlessly with her amazing stocks and willingness to create beautiful references for her fellow artists.
She creates her stocks with the knowledge that Michele-lee will be whipped into a frenzy of creating once the artist sees them. This beautiful muse is not only a gracious model. As already mentioned, Elandria is also talented seamstress and makes many of her own dresses, further enhancing the value of the stocks she provides. Yet it is her willingness to traipse across the countryside in order to create the most magickal photographs that makes her stocks so amazing. Together with her talented partner and architectural photographer CausticStock they wander field and ruin seeking out the perfect shot.
To date, Elandria has appeared in seven of Michele-lee's artworks -- Lady of the Air, Mnemosyne, Dragons of the Wood, and Of Earth and of Air just to name a few -- and there are a more scheduled to be painted in the next few weeks.
The beautiful Sophie Collier appears has been the source of inspiration and reference for three of Michele-lee's favourite artworks - Rhea, Love, and Lady of the Waters. She gives generously of her time and efforts and asks for so little in return, so acknowledgment of her wonderful kindness is a must.
Sophie is cherished by many artists, and has been the inspiration for an unending number of paintings and photo-manipulations. She is literally the face that launched a thousand careers, but she is also a talented digital artist in her own right. Her work can be viewed at her website VKAcademy and in her Deviant Art Gallery.
Hailing from Denmark, Ida Mary Larsen is a creative dynamo. What this woman does for artists and the artworld must be acknowledged. Ida was one of the first sources of inspiration for Michele-lee, and while there have only been three artworks to date using Ida as a model, she is highly respected and held in great esteem and friendship by the artist. Ida has an amazing selection of reference stocks, which she provides for all -- beautiful costumes, great poses.
But like Michele-lee's other muses, Ida is so very much more than a source of inspiration. Not only is she is an exceptionally talented and published digital artist, she is also the publisher of Future Art Magazine and devotes countless hours to bringing unknown artists to everyone's attention.
