Subject: *peeks in*

I've not posted for a bit ... sorry ... been rather busy. I'm finalising paperwork so my taxes can be lodged with my accountant tomorrow. I seem to take a rather perverse pleasure in working with numbers. There is a soothing nature to sorting, filing, and adding up receipts and earnings. I've been working on them for the last week and have spent hardly any time painting. It's been nice. The respite has been quite therapeutic.
But no painting does not mean no creating. I have completed the lineworks for the four final 'Titan' cards - Eos, Helios, Selene, and Themis - and took no small delight in the simple act of drawing, but I only lasted until Friday last week before the need (TM) took over and I had to pick up a brush again.

Last night a rather nasty little storm came through. It was the first storm we've had in many, many months, and was what I like to refer to as a 'firestarter'. In other words, it was all lighting and thunder, with not a lot of rain.
And one of those lightening strikes hit very close to home last night. So close in fact, that it temporarily took out my modem and telephone even with a surge protector on it and the computer. My computer was unaffected, but I think the cabling for the phone and modem has been fried as my phone is making an awful hissing noise and my modem keeps disconnecting.
